Sebring grads provide inspiration

Sebring McKinley Junior and Senior High School hosted its fourth “All Star Alumni Series” on Nov. 20. Pictured are Tyler Jones and Elizabeth Householder, event speakers. Jones and Householder graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in 2008. Jones is a Kent State University and Northeast Ohio Medical University graduate. He is in his fifth and final year as a chief general surgery resident in Cincinnati. Jones recently accepted a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine for next academic year. Only two surgeons per year are accepted into this one-year program. Householder, a University of Akron graduate, is employed at Salem Regional Medical Center. She has worked in the maternity unit and is currently a nurse in the inpatient post-surgical unit. The All Star Alumni Series was created this school year as a way to inspire students. Alumni return to Sebring McKinley High School and tell current Trojans about their time at Sebring Local Schools and the impact the school district had on their lives. (Submitted photo)
