GREENFORD — The Greenford Lutheran Church Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held from 5-7 p.m. March 5.

The public is invited to attend. The meal will be served in the fellowship hall at the church. Pancakes this year include regular, blueberry and chocolate chip.

The church council will host the supper with the youth helping to serve and clean up. Proceeds from the free will offering will go toward the summer youth trip.

SALEM — Friends of Banquet will sponsor Monday’s Banquet in Salem at the Memorial Building. It will be held from 5-7 p.m. The menu will include vegetable soup, fried chicken, mashes potatoes and gravy, green beans, tossed salad, fresh veggie, fresh fruit and ice cream. CANFIELD — Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will be hosting Lenten breakfasts Wednesday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. from March 6-April 17. The church is on the Village Green next to the Oddfellows Lodge. Meals are free. Free will donations are accepted.

NORTH LIMA — A pasta bake dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. March 9 at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St. The meal includes a salad, bread. dessert and beverage. Carryouts will be available. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 6 to 12. For more information call 330-549-2406.

SALEM — Tickets are still available for the Salem Community Center, Salem Rotary Club and Salem Kiwanis Clubás Feed the Salem Community Pantry Fat Tuesday fundraiser. The public is invited to the event to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 5 at the community center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave. Tickets are available at the community center, or from a Rotary or Kiwanis member. All proceeds will benefit the Salem Community Pantry. Those interested in being a celebrity chef must reserve a table by Feb. 25. Chefs are asked to provide their own warming device (non-electric) and server for the table. If unable to provide a server, one can be arranged. A sign with your name, or the name of your business, will be provided by the organization and displayed on each table. WARREN — “Tetlestai,” a musical passion play produced by Cleveland Performing Arts Ministries and marking its 42nd season, is coming to Champion Christian Church, 151 Center St. W., Warren, at 8 p.m. March 8 and 9 and 2 p.m. March 10. Tetlestai means “It is finished” and refers to the last words Jesus spoke before his death on the cross. Featuring a cast of more than 100, the dramatic stage production and timeless music bring the story of Christ’s trial, execution and resurrection to life. Doors open one hour before each performance. There is no admission charge; an offering will be taken after each performance. The two-hour presentation includes a short intermission and a reception afterward where audiences can meet and mingle with the cast and crew. The volunteer cast and crew members devote four months each year to rehearsals and performances and present the play at churches across Northern Ohio. Champion Christian is the only 2019 site in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties. Other performances are scheduled through the Lenten season in Medina, Mentor, Marblehead and at four Cleveland area locations.
