Swiss steak dinner offered in Damascus
DAMASCUS–The Damascus Ruritan Club will host its 54th Annual Swiss Steak Dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the West Branch High School Cafeteria. Cost is $10 presale for adults, $11 at the door. Carryouts will be available. Proceeds will be used to fund the club’s scholarship program. The West Branch Area Ladies Ruritan Club will also hold a bake sale during the dinner.
Magic show planned at Salem Community Theatre
SALEM–Jason and Stacy Alan will present “The Alan’s: In Cahoots for one night only! An Extraordinary Evening of Magic and Mentalism” at 8 p.m. April 5 at the Salem Community Theatre. The show is open to those 21 years of age and over.

Pork loin, mashed potatoes offered at Banquet
SALEM–Columbiana Presbyterian Church will sponsor The Banquet in Salem from 5 to 7 p.m. March 18 at the Memorial Building.
The menu will include chicken noodle soup, pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and ice cream.

Community breakfast set in Damascus
DAMASCUS–Damascus United Methodist Church and Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church will host their monthly community breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Damascus church, 300 Valley Road. The breakfast features all-you-can-eat, made-to-order pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, juice and coffee. Suggested donation is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10 years. The breakfast proceeds will benefit the upcoming 2019 Summer Mission Trip to Cluster 13 Ministries in Camden, N.Y.
Clothing giveaway planned Saturday in Sebring
SEBRING–Acts 2 Ministries of the Sebring/West Branch area will hold a free clothing give-away from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Acts 2 Clothes Closet located behind Pine Lake Christian Church, 636 Pine Lake Road.
Clothing is available with items for men, women and children. The clothing is available to anyone who could make good use of it. There are no restrictions based on income or employment, but patrons are asked to take items that will be used by their immediate family.
Donations of good, gently used clothing items are also welcome. Clothing is accepted for any season. Call about making clothing donations as a drop-off box is not available.
Acts 2 Ministries is a partnership of churches in the Sebring-West Branch community. Lisbon Area Amateur Radio Assoc. to meet
LISBON–The Lisbon Area Amateur Radio Association will hold its March meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Columbiana County Emergency Management Agency 215 S. Market St. The meeting had to be changed due to a scheduling conflict. New members and guests are welcome.
Soup sale set Thursday at Mile Branch Grange
KNOX TWP. –Mile Branch Grange will hold its monthly drive-thru soup sale on Thursday. Cost is $6 per quart. This month’s soups will be Loaded Potato and Stuffed Pepper. Soup must be pre-ordered by noon on Wednesday. Soup will be available for pick up from 4 to 6 p.m. It will be packaged and delivered directly to customers’ cars ready to heat once home.

SEBRING — The Sebring Library will host a discussion about Toronto, Canada at 2 p.m. March 16. The event for teens and adults will share information about the city including Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, CN Tower, PATH system Underground, Rogers Centre, Bata Shoe Museum, Casa Loma, Toronto Eaton Centre, Hockey Hall of Fame and more.
