Western Reserve PTO schedules fundraiser

BERLIN CENTER – The Western Reserve Parent Teacher Organization will host its sixth annual Auction Fundraiser on April 5, in the cafetorium at Western Reserve K-12 School, 13850 Akron Canfield Rd. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the live auction event will begin at 6 p.m.

Admission is free and there will be a dinner with several menu options catered by A La Cart available for $8 per person, payable by cash or check. Additional drinks and desserts will also be available for purchase. Auction services will be provided by Anglins Auction Service, anglinsauction.com. Winning bids may be paid for by cash, check, or credit card.

Items to be auctioned off this year include a fully-loaded jukebox, a wooden table with four chairs furniture set, two American Girl dolls (Melody and Tenney), $500 toward Michelin tires, an electric guitar with a stand and amp, tickets to Dollywood, passes to King’s Island, tickets and vouchers to many sporting and entertainment events, an overnight stay in Canton and two Pro Football Hall of Fame tickets, a two day/one night getaway package for Mountaineer, dozens of themed baskets of all kinds and thousands of dollars in gift cards.

All proceeds from this annual event will benefit the students of Western Reserve Local Schools, providing thousands of dollars in senior scholarships along with the Kindergarten Jump Start Program, in-school science field trips, scheduled author visits and presentations, Field Day, purchases of equipment and school supplies, and other activities the Western Reserve PTO provides to the K-12 students in the district.

The Western Reserve cafetorium entrance is Door 10; the double doors are located next to the Danielle Grim Memorial Garden in the back of the new school building. Ample free parking is available in the east and west lots.
