United to crown prom queen and king this weekend

HANOVERTON — United Local’s Junior/Senior Prom will be held April 27. The theme of the prom is “Singapore Dreams.” The prom activities will begin at 4:45 p.m. with the Parade of Fashions. Parents are invited (with a $1 donation) to share in the parade and the crowning of the prom Queen and King. The 2018 Queen and King (Cassie Aldish and Parker Hydrick) will pass their crowns to the 2019 candidates. Lauren Hippely will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the preprom festivities.

This year the prom will be held at the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton with a sit-down dinner and dance. Students will ride charter buses to the prom. The After-Prom is sponsored by the Junior Class After-Prom Parents Committee. The students will leave on charter buses at 11:45 a.m. to go to Fun “n” Stuff for a night of activities. Morgan Urmson, class president, and other officers are Lauren Hippely and Katlyn Phillips, co-vice presidents; Alexis Blake, secretary; Jenna Reiter, treasurer; and Betty Whiteleather is Junior Class Advisor.

Juniors chosen to comprise the Prom Court include:

— Alexis Blake is the daughter of Alan and Lisa Blake. She is active in 4-H, National Honor Society, Ruriteens, cheerleading and U & Me Mentor program.

— Tyler Lippiatt is the son of Brian and Missy Lippiatt. His activities include varsity football, varsity wrestling, National Honor Society and Student Council.

— Emilee Graham is the daughter of Nathaniel and Cassandra Graham. Her activities include varsity cheer, Ruriteens, U & Me Mentor program and Student Council.

— Bodey Kiko is the son of Rich and Nicole Kiko. His activities include varsity football, varsity wrestling, Future Farmers Association (FFA) and Ruriteens.

— Brenna Wood is the daughter of Chad and Sara Wood. Her activities include cheer, track, U & Me Mentor program and American Sign Language Club.

— Garrett Coffee is the son of Gregg and Charleen Coffee. His activities include National Honor Society and Ski Club.

— Lauren DelVichio is the daughter of Chuck and Susan DelVichio. Her activities include varsity volleyball, Key Club, U & Me Mentor program and American Sign Language Club.

— Dominic DiGiacomo is the son of Dante and Paula DiGiacomo. His activities include soccer, Ski Club, track and U & Me Mentor program.

— Jenna Reiter is the daughter of Matthew and Sandee Reiter. Her activities include class treasurer, Ruriteens, National Honor Society and varsity cheerleading.

— Jeremiah Peters is the son of Jacob Peters and Lakiesha Ross. His activities include track, football, band and Future Farmers Association (FFA).

— Katlyn Phillips is the daughter of John and Kathy Phillips. Her activities include softball, concert choir, class vice president and National Honor Society.

— Ethan McDevitt is the son of Jason and Sara McDevitt. His activities include soccer, baseball, National Honor Society and Ruriteens.

— Kyleigh Daggy is the daughter of Jeff and Tammy Daggy. Her activities include varsity volleyball, varsity basketball, American Sign Language and 4-H.

— Zachary Jewell is the son of Mark and Lori Jewell. His activities include soccer, tennis, U & Me Mentor program and National Honor Society.

— Kristen Hoy is the daughter of David and Carolyn Hoy. Her activities include National Honor Society and Future Farmers Association (FFA).

— Gavin Hildreth is the son of Charles and Holly Hildreth. His activities include National Honor Society, U & Me Mentor program and Spanish Club.

— Morgan Urmson is the daughter of Douglas and Kristine Urmson. Her activities include class president, American Sign Language Club, soccer and track.

— Logan Cooper is the son of Robert and Ann Cooper. His activities include 4-H, Junior Leaders and band.
