MCCTC seniors earn Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal

The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC) celebrated seniors who earned the Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal. In honor of In-Demand Jobs Week, the school decided to acknowledge the seniors’ hard work with an ice cream party, T-shirts and a group photo. MCCTC is currently the only high school in Mahoning County that provides its students the opportunity to earn the Ohio Means Job Readiness Seal. The Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal is a formal designation a student can earn by demonstrating the professional skills that are required for success in the workplace. The student can earn the seal by asking three or more mentors to validate that the student demonstrated the professional skills valued by Ohio businesses. It therefore distinguishes students who are prepared to contribute to the workplace and their communities. The seal will be placed on their high school diploma.
