Salem Masons honor members of long service
SALEM–Perry Lodge in Salem had its second round of service awards for those Masons that could not attend the meeting in December. A 60-year Service Certificate and pin was presented by District Deputy Grand Master Jim Cardelein to Will Stamp of Salem for 63 years of membership and service to Perry Lodge. Additionally, 40-year pins and certificates were presented to Robert Miller from Kittaning, Pa., Gary Mint from Leetonia and Paul Rankin from Canfield. A 35-year certificate and pin was presented to George Hartzell from Salem. All members are of Perry Lodge.
After the award presentations, Mike Caldwell and Brent Spangler, the two newest members of Perry Lodge, returned their examinations and completed the final step of their initiation into Masonry. Good fellowship was enjoyed by all in the dining room after the meeting was adjourned.
Perry Lodge will be holding an Ox Roast and Gun Raffle fund raiser on May 18 at the Salem Masonic Temple, 788 E. State St. Tickets are $20 each and will be available to purchase at the door on Saturday. Price includes dinner and a chance to win one of eight guns. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. Door prizes, 50/50 raffle, Chinese Auction and additional guns will be available to win for attendees.
