CANFIELD–Home Savings donated a check for $5,000 to The Walnut Grove on June 11. The funds will be used toward the construction of a playground to be used by local and regional children of all abilities, specifically those with special needs.

“The Walnut Grove is a community centered educational and recreational venue where people with special needs and their families can learn, play, relax and enjoy,” explained Shellie Duchek, The Walnut Grove. “The playground will offer children of all abilities the opportunity to play with their peers in a safe and inclusive environment, as well as obtain the much needed fresh air and exercise their bodies need to thrive.”

“We are proud to support The Walnut Grove as they work to provide a place where individuals of all ages and abilities can learn through play and enjoy the freedom to interact with their peers,” said Trish Gelsomino, Home Savings. “Working together we can truly make a difference!”
