Lisbon students collect cans as a school project

Natalie Lindesmith’s fifth grade science classes at Lisbon McKinley Elementary School collected can tabs as a school project for the Ronald McDonald House in Akron. The Ronald McDonald House recycled the can tabs to purchase needed items for the House. Students contacted family and friends from the district and outside the district to help contribute to the tabs. The students work resulted in several feed bags full of tabs. A portion of the tabs were donated in the name of the late Seth Utt who held a special place in his heart for the Ronald McDonald House. Shown here, from left, Kamryn Peruchetti, Evie McKnight, and Steven Smith sitting in front of the feed bags full of can tabs which were collected. (Submitted photo)
