Local chapter of Colonial Dames installs officers

Members and guests of the Colonial Dames Tjaatje DeWitt Chapter met in May for a genealogy workshop presented by Yolanda Van Dyne, Family History Consultant and Program Coordinator of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Past officer Rosa Dalbec installed the following officers for the 2019-2021 term: President Louise Farkas; Vice President Margie Diver; Recording Secretary Kim Bland; Corresponding Secretary Dolores Ronzi; Treasurer Mary Lou Shively; Chaplain Barbara Parker; Registrar Rolayne Kasmer; Historian/Librarian Janet Bender. The National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, established in 1915, is a non-profit organization of women, 18 years of age or over, who are lineal descendants of an ancestor who lived and served prior to 1701 in one of the Original Colonies.
