Apicella named to Rochester Institute dean’s list
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Julianna Apicella of Salem was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 Spring Semester. Apicella is in the game design and development program.
Ochsendorf named to Capital’s president’s list
BEXLEY, Ohio – Capital University has announced Jillian Ochsendorf of Alliance was named to the president’s list for the spring 2019 semester. To be named to the president’s list, students must have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.85.
Dr. Wagner recognized as Teacher of the Year
COLUMBIANA — Dr. Benjamin Calvert Wagner was honored recently as Teacher of the Year at St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York where he is an assistant professor of psychology.
A graduate of Columbiana High School, Wagner completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Denison University and his master’s and doctorate at The Ohio State University. While at OSU, he was a member of Phi Kappa Mu, honored with the Dean’s Distinguished University Fellowship and the Graduate Student Conference Award. An author of numerous publications, Wagner has been invited to present at conferences across the United States.
Dr. Wagner was voted Teacher of the Year 2018-2019 by the staff and students at St. Thomas Aquinas.
He is the son of Ray and the late Cathie Wagner of Columbiana.
Area students on Geneva College dean’s list
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Geneva College announces the dean’s list of undergraduate students for the spring 2019 semester. To be eligible for this recognition, students in traditional programs must earn a GPA of at least 3.6 while passing 12 credit hours or more.

Local students earn Baldwin Wallace dean’s list
BEREA, Ohio – The following local students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester at Baldwin Wallace University, according to Provost Stephen D. Stahl. Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean’s List.

WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – West Liberty University announced its Dean’s List for outstanding academic performance during Spring Semester 2019. Students must attain a 3.50 grade point academic average and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours to qualify for this honor. Students who achieved Dean’s List honors include:

Anderson earns president’s list at James Madison
HARRISONBURG, Va. – East Palestine resident Faith Anderson has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University for the spring 2019 semester. Students who earn president’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above. Anderson is majoring in Psychology.
