Hanoverton Homecoming set 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

HANOVERTON–The Hanover Homecoming will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on Plymouth and Second streets.

Various vendors will have spots along Plymouth. The Presbyterian Church will be hosting the Art and Photography contest and a bake sale. The Historical Society will have strawberries and ice cream. Entertainment will be provided by local talent with the Princess Pageant at noon. New this year will be the Bier Garden provided by the Spread Eagle Tavern set up behind the tavern. Chef Keith will be preparing some special treats. Tickets will be available for chances to win a “basket” of gifts and cards from local merchants,

Second Street will host a children’s area with an obstacle bounce house and other games. The Fire Department will have a dunk tank with some familiar faces waiting to be dunked. The Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring a scavenger hunt for prizes. The Fire Department Parade will begin at 2 p.m. A ghost walk will be held Saturday at 8:15 p.m. meeting behind the Tavern.

On Sunday, church service will take place in Betz Park lead by the Presbyterian Church and Christian Church. Communion will be served.
