Sentenced for drug possession
LISBON – In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Joseph J. Dessaro, 19, Susan Drive, East Liverpool, was sentenced to seven months in prison after his intervention was dishonorably terminated. He was credited with 59 days already served. Dessaro pleaded guilty in October to possession of drugs for two bags of marijuana weighing a combined 255.2 grams found in a vehicle parked at Maxi’s Restaurant in East Liverpool in December 2011.
Andrew W. Foster, one of a group of men charged after they were located inside the former Salineville IGA last June, was sentenced to four years probation for breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools. Foster, 21, West Main Street, Salineville, was involved in the theft of pipes and wiring from the building and had a flashlight, along with other tools in his possession at the time.
Jonathan P. Cunning, 21, Youngstown, was sentenced to four years probation for burglary and safecracking. According to court documents, Cunning on June 30, 2011 forced his way into the home of Glen Wells, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, then broke into a gun safe for the purpose of taking guns.
