Alliance residents charged after shots fired report Sunday
PERRY TWP. – Police looking for a vehicle described in a shots fired complaint outside the Foxes Den in Salem stopped an SUV on West State Street and charged two people with carrying a concealed weapon early Sunday.
Dyron Antonia Lasean Hancock, 18, and Angel Makeda Jackson, 26, both of Alliance, were each charged with the weapon count after a gun was found in the car. Hancock was also charged with underage consumption.
They were both taken to the Columbiana County jail pending arraignment in county Municipal Court.
Salem Police received a call at 1:37 a.m. Sunday for shots being fired in the area of Foxes Den at 188 Railroad St., being advised that an occupant in a silver van/SUV fired a gun off.
Township police were told to be on the lookout for a silver van-type vehicle in reference to the alleged shots fired, with the vehicle traveling north on Howard Avenue toward State Street and then west on State Street. The vehicle was stopped by an officer on West State Street and a gun was found.
The discharging of the weapon was still under investigation in Salem.
