Man wanted for theft, assault
GOSHEN TOWNSHIP- Police are looking for a Sebring man wanted for theft and assault after he escaped custody at the St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown Tuesday.
According to Det. Kevin Stratton, Goshen police responded to the Dollar General in Beloit at 3:30 p.m. where Edward Mills, 30, had allegedly attempted to steal several miscellaneous items and assaulted an employee when confronted. He reportedly fled the store toward Sebring where Goshen and Sebring officers eventually apprehended him.
He was charged with theft and assault and transported to the Mahoning County Justice Center, but was referred to St. Elizabeth’s for medical reasons, Stratton said. He was placed on a holder with police at the hospital, but they told Goshen police later that night that he had fled the facility.
Stratton said the theft and assault charges are still pending Mills arrest.
