Lisbon man hurt in Erie crash

LISBON – A Lisbon man was injured early Wednesday morning while driving a tractor trailer in Erie, Pa.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Patrick Bobby, 57, was driving the 2004 Freightliner eastbound on state Route 90 near the Bort Road overpass when he lost control and went off the south berm.

The tractor trailer struck a road sign and guard rail on the front end before overturning onto the passenger side, and Bobby was unable to get out.

Members of the Crescent Hose and North East Volunteer Fire Departments extricated him from the vehicle, and he was taken by EMS to UPMC Hamot for moderate injuries, according to the report.

The accident occurred at 3:45 a.m. and was investigated by Officer James Quirk. Following the investigation Bobby was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic. He was wearing a seat belt.
