3 NW family members charged with growing pot
LISBON – Three members of a New Waterford area family are charged with cultivating marijuana along with a forfeiture specification.
Russell F. Rogers Jr., 64; Roberta L. Rogers, 66; and Darin F. Rogers, 30, all of Carter Road, New Waterford, are all accused of having between 5,000 and 20,000 grams (11 to 44 pounds) of marijuana cultivating on Aug. 27, 2012. The elder Rogers are alleged to be the owners of three tracts of property in Unity and Middleton townships, which were used in the alleged offense. Additionally, all three are accused of owning a Suzuki Quad Sport four-wheeler, a Honda TRX 450R, a Honda Rincon four-wheeler, a Suzuki JSAAM and a Huskey Trailer, all of which were believed to have been used in the commission of the offense of cultivating marijuana.
Michael J. Tittle, 41, Forbes Road, Wellsville, was served a secret indictment on charges of endangering children and 11 counts of possession of drugs with a forfeiture specification. According to court documents, on April 11, 2012, Tittle was found with between 10 and 20 grams of cocaine; 74 80-milligram oxycodone tablets; 57 40-milligram oxycodone tablets; 60 30-milligram oxycodone tablets; less than the bulk amount of amphetamine, clonazepam, oxymorphone and alprazolam; and more than the bulk amount of hydrocodone, lisdexamfetamine and diazepam. Additionally, he reportedly had $5,691 believed to have been used in drug-related offenses, along with custody of two children, ages 7 and 5 at the time of the alleged offense.
Hugh A. Miller, 23, Alderlick Road, Salineville, was served a secret indictment on charges of aggravated vehicular assault and OVI. Miller is accused of driving while intoxicated, which caused serious physical harm to Alexander Gromley on July 6.
Mary E. Lombardozzi, 39, Wood Street, Wellsville, is charged with possession of drugs with a forfeiture specification. Lombardozzi is accused of having amphetamine in her possession on Sept. 11, along with $1,820 believed to have been used in the offense of purchasing or selling amphetamine.
Christine L. Schnader-Martin, 32, West Pershing Street, Salem, is charged with illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs for allegedly having chemicals with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine on Oct. 7 in the vicinity of a child.
Shawn P. McNeil, 43, Oakwood Avenue, East Liverpool, is charged with possession of drugs for allegedly having cocaine on Sept. 9.
Jonathan R. Cook, 27, South West Street, Columbiana, is charged with theft for allegedly depriving the city of Columbiana of utility power cable on Oct. 7.
All the indictments were issued by the Columbiana County grand jury in November.
