Hearing held for former Beaver Local teacher
LISBON – A former Beaver Local substitute teacher charged with disseminating matter harmful to children appeared Thursday in Columbiana County Municipal Court.
James Hartford, the defense attorney of Chad R. Grey, requested additional evidence from Assistant County Prosecutor Don Humphrey so he can better prepare a defense. Hartford also filed a motion to compel the evidence. An additional pretrial has been scheduled in the case for Feb. 11.
Court documents allege Grey, 26, Gilson Avenue, East Liverpool, sent cell phone photos of male genitalia to an 11-year-old girl for whom he had been the substitute teacher.
