LISBON FIRE

– Firefighters were called to a grease fire in a kitchen at 855 N. Market St. at 8:37 p.m. Saturday. Chief David Lewton said the fire was contained to the frying pan, and there was no damage. The rental property is owned by Tom Haught.

– Firefighters went to a West Washington Street home at midnight Thursday for a report of a strong odor coming from the furnace that smelled like smoke and dirt.

– The fire department responded to a fire alarm going off at the county jail at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday. The alarm was activated when an inmate deliberately broke the sprinkler head in his cell.
