East Rochester man Tasered after allegedly destroying bath

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP- An East Rochester man had to be subdued by officers after allegedly smashing up a bathroom while intoxicated Sunday morning.

Ethan Wutrick, 24, 28470 Speidel Road, was charged with misdemeaner counts of criminal damaging and endangering, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after officers Michael Wirkner and Kevin Ragan responded to a home in the 16000 block of Calla Road at 1:48 a.m. for a report of an unwanted person.

According to Cpl. Karl Balasz, Wirkner and Ragan found Wutrick highly intoxicated with a .249 BAC. He had allegedly broken a window and mirror and damaged dry wall and moulding in the home’s bathroom.

Balasz said Wutrick became belligerent when EMS personnel attempted to strap him to a gurney for transport to the hospital due to his level of intoxication, kicking and lashing out at them, for which Wirkner Tasered him to gain compliance. Wutrick then freed himself from restraints and again began flailing at personnel, for which he was Tasered a second time.

Wutrick was transported to the Salem hospital, where he was treated for the alcohol, and then to the Mahoning County jail.
