Man sentenced on stolen gun charge
LISBON – Robert P. White, 25, Beaver Springfield Road, New Springfield, was sentenced in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to 90 days in jail and placed of four years probation for receiving stolen property for having a Herrington and Richardson 12-gauge shotgun, a Stevens 20-gauge shotgun, a Mossberg 12-gauge pump shotgun and a Remington model no. 770, all belonging to Garrett Holloway on Dec. 7, 2012.
David W. Wright, 53, last known address County Home Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 36 months in prison, but credited with 124 days already served for failure to notify the sheriff of a change of address. Wright is required to provide notification as part of his conviction for sexual battery in 2000.
Brian M. Stowers, 26, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, was found in violation of the terms and conditions of the treatment plan and the plan was terminated. Instead he was placed on regular probation instead. Stowers was convicted of theft in 2012 for grabbing a baggie containing about $7,500 from Robert Neville and fleeing in May 2010.
