Woman sentenced for trafficking

LISBON – Teyonia L. Moorer, 32, Youngstown, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to two counts of trafficking in drugs and a felony specification.

She was immediately sentenced to seven months at the Ohio Reformatory for Women at Marysville, consecutive to her current sentence imposed in a Mahoning County court. There she was sentenced last week to four years for two counts of trafficking in heroin. Her license was suspended for six months here and five years in Mahoning County. In this county, Moorer was selling cocaine on both June 6 and June 20, 2013 out of her 2002 Ford Explorer.

A year after being granted additional time to catch up on child support, Scott A. Maxwell, 44, Park Avenue, East Palestine, did not, so was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.

A no bill of indictment was returned by the grant jury against Joshua D. Crooms. The case was dismissed. Crooms had been bound over to the grand jury on a burglary charge accused of entering the home of Lori and Abby Pierson without their permission to retrieve some of his own property.
