Homeworth man pleads guilty to theft of medications
LISBON – Jason R. Monter, 32, Bandy Road, Homeworth, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to theft. On Sept. 30 Monter had Diazepam and Alprazolam, which were taken from the apartment of Sonnett Holenchick while in her apartment. He faces up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing was set for July 3.
Sylivia Haupt, 60, Walnut Street, Rogers, was granted intervention in lieu of conviction after pleading guilty the theft for taking percocet pills from the purse of a co-worker. She was placed on an intervention probation program.
A report from the Forensic Psychiatric Center of Northeast Ohio found Nicole Graef, 27, Rauch Road, East Palestine, not competent to stand trial at this time. Judge C. Ashley Pike ordered she continue outpatient mental health treatment through Canfield Counseling and the matter be reviewed on Aug. 4. Graef is accused of making multiple telephone calls to attorney Constance Witt, even after she was notified to stop.
