– Leona Leek, state Route 39, Wellsville, reported at 6:20 p.m. Friday a mail box was stolen from her son’s gravesite at Highlandtown Cemetery in Washington Township.

– An ambulance was called to a home on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 4:35 p.m Thursday after a man was found unresponsive on the floor in his trailer. The man was confirmed dead, and his sister told deputies he had been battling terminal cancer.

– Marcie Gregory, Darner Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:20 a.m. Saturday three fraudulent charges on her PayPal account totaling $450.

– Paul Conkle, Bye Road, East Palestine, reported at 7:52 a.m. Saturday Norfolk Southern Railroad was doing work on the tracks and tore up his yard in the process.

– Harold Baer, Bayview Drive, Beloit, reported at 9:59 a.m. Saturday finding drug paraphernalia. The bottles were taken to the Drug Task Force for tests.

– Allen McKinney, Camp Boulevard, Lisbon, reported at 2:08 p.m. Saturday his roommate, Mark Hill, was intoxicated and that McKinney wanted Hill gone. McKinney was advised of the eviction process and how to go through the courts.


– Deputies responded Saturday to a home on Old Route 344 in Leetonia for a disturbance reported by a neighbor. They spoke with Ashley Baun and Timothy Boggs, both of whom said they had an argument but everything was fine. Deputies checked for warrants and cleared the call.

– Lara Yates and Kimberly Williams, New Castle, Pa., reported a woodburner taken from property on Waterford Road in Unity Township about eight weeks ago. They asked for extra checks of the property.

– Clifford Westover, Pine Hollow Road, Lisbon, reported someone is cashing checks belonging to him. Westover told deputies he believes his grandson took the checks from his home around Easter and gave them to someone else to cash.

– Jorge Rudes, Bell Road, Lisbon, reported Thursday he had been assaulted by Tim Yaslik while staying at Yaslik’s residence and after asking Yaslik for gas money. Yaslik told deputies there had been a verbal confrontation with Rudes, who pushed him into the entertainment center, knocking everything from the shelves. They then reportedly wrestled on the floor until Yaslik’s dog bit Rudes. Yaslik said he then placed Rudes’ belongings outside, saying he had told him on three different occasions he wanted him to leave the residence but he refused.

– Robert Gatrell, Stevens Drive, Alliance, reported Friday someone it using his identity to obtain electrical service, also attempting to use an old credit card of his to pay for those services in Youngstown.

– Deputies were dispatched to an East Liverpool Road residence Friday for a welfare check on the resident, who said she was fine but who said her phone service had been out a dew days.

– Deputies responded Thursday night to a residence on Georgetown-Damascus Road in Beloit after a 12-year-old girl reported being afraid that her grandfather had pulled into her driveway. The girl told deputies she had been assaulted by him in the past. Deputies checked the area and did not find the man, and the girl was advised to tell her mother to contact the sheriff’s office so she could again be advised to seek a protection order.

– Richard Monigold, Ocelet Road, Salineville, reported his parents checked his old residence on Salineville Road West and found items missing, including furniture, two window air conditioners, and curtains. His parents believed his ex-wife may have taken the items, according to reports, but deputies contacted her and she denied taking them. Monigold’s son reported seeing the couch that is missing from the house at his sister’s home.

– Josh Brown, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported he was checking his bank account and noticed charges he had not made. He was advised to make a report.

– Deputies reported Friday that Joshua Bickley pulled into his assigned parking spot at Southern Local High School and his vehicle scraped the rear driver’s side panel of a truck in the next parking space which was parked close to the line.

– Ted Lutton, Scotts Mill Road, Rogers, reported his neighbor told him a tree company was in his yard on Friday and left ruts in the yard, also tearing up a flower bed, destroying trees and damaging a garage. He contacted the company, where a representative said a supervisor will contact him.

– Pete Schisler, of JDS Landscape Supply, state Route 14, Columbiana, reported Saturday someone broke a Coca-Cola vending machine that sits in front of the business.
