Drug agents search homes in 2 townships
LISBON – Homes in Liverpool and Madison townships were searched for drugs on Tuesday, according to Lt. Brian McLaughlin, director of the Columbiana County Drug Task Force.
The first search warrant was served on the residence of Michael Byers, 31, Johnson Road, Madison Township, where officers confiscated $1,000 worth of suspected cocaine and more than $1,200 in cash.
Byers was taken into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant for receiving stolen property.
The other search warrant was for the home of Detrick Orrell on Ninth Avenue in Liverpool Township. Allegedly found in the residence were $8,000 in cocaine, $15,000 in heroin and a large amount of counterfeit currency.
McLaughlin said charges are pending against “multiple subjects.”
Assisting in the raids were the county Special Response Team, the county Sheriff’s Office, and the local offices of the FBI and U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
