Negley man pleads guilty to burglary
LISBON – A Negley man is facing up to eight years in prison after pleading guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to burglary.
Joshua L. Bable, 33, Front Street, Negley, pleaded guilty to burglary. He also could be facing a $15,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 14.
Bable and co-defendant Loraine Speicher on Nov. 19, 2013 reportedly trespassed into the home of Jacob Wright, state Route 558, Columbiana, with the intent to steal several personal items including a TV, guitar, a camera and a Bowie knife. Speicher is scheduled for a jury trial today.
Zachary Shingler, 28, Dewey Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for attempted burglary and three counts of burglary. Shingler was credited with 165 days served.
In December 2013 Shingler reported was involved in the burglaries of the homes of Victoria Mitchell, Park Boulevard, East Liverpool; Robin Bundy, McKinnon Avenue, East Liverpool and Theresa Landis, Park Boulevard, East Liverpool; and the cutting of a screen door on the home of Doris Sanford, Park Boulevard, East Liverpool. Items taken from the homes included jewelry, a shotgun, a pellet gun and a revolver.
Dana Thornton, 49, Johnson Place, Wellsville, was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty in April to four counts of non-support of dependents.
Scott J. Foutts, 46, Samuel Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced to eight months in prison for two counts possession of drugs. Foutts had cocaine on Jan. 5, 2013 and Oct. 4, 2013.
