– Firefighters responded at 4:45 p.m. Monday to Salem Regional Medical Center on East State Street after receiving a request for assistance with a large water flow inside the emergency department. The water was shut off and firefighters assisted with water removal and used salvage covers in the basement to protect the contents.
– The fire department responded to a report of a transformer being struck by lighting on North Market Street at 4 p.m. Monday.
