Salem man granted drug intervention
LISBON – In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Cletis R. Monroy, 31, Rose Avenue, Salem, was placed on an intervention plan for five years for possession of drugs and attempted burglary amended from burglary. Monroy took a hacksaw to cut the padlock off the garage of the home of Jessica Hazel, East Third Street, Salem, on Sept. 13, 2013, while he was in the possession of cocaine.
David W. Arthur, 52, Tarentum, Pa., pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of drugs for having both cocaine and clonazepam on Feb. 22, 2012. He faces up to a year and a half in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $3,500 fine. Arthur is scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 22.
