Beloit man charged with retaliation

GOSHEN TWP.- Police have charged a Beloit man with felony retaliation following a criminal damaging incident over the weekend at the Sebring Lake Estates.

Gregory E. Crase, 43, 65 Cedarwood St., Beloit, was arrested at his home Monday afternoon for third-degree felony retaliation and misdemeanor criminal damaging after Officer Kevin Ragan and Lt. Nick Brent responded to a neighboring home at 2:36 a.m. Aug. 23 where a window had been shattered and a tire on a vehicle flattened.

The officers confiscated a broom at Crase’s home that appeared to have been used to break the window.

Crase is currently facing a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct in which the same victim claimed he was shining a bright flashlight into a window at the home as harassment. He was in court on the charge two days prior to the latest incident.
