W. Va. man charged with forgery

LISBON – Vonlie W. Cooper, 25, Weirton, W.Va., was served two different secret indictments in Hancock County, W.Va.

The first indictment, issued by the Columbiana County grand jury in June, charges Cooper with 12 counts receiving stolen property, 11 counts of complicity to forgery and one count of forgery.

Cooper is accused of having 11 Rite Aid money orders belonging to Keith Anderson and assisting Blakely S. Cooper in forging those money orders on April 3. Additionally, the indictment notes Vonlee Cooper had miscellaneous money orders belonging to Anderson and forged them.

The second indictment charges Vonlee Cooper with one count forgery and two counts receiving property. He is accused of having both a Mastercard and a check belonging to Pamela Vuckovich on Feb. 24 and then forging the check. This indictment was issued by the grand jury in July.
