COLUMBIANA — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Thursday preliminary hearing was set for Angel M. Phillips, 40, West Fourth Street, Salem, charged with harassment by an inmate for allegedly upon learning she was being booked into the county jail, became upset with Sgt. Danny Green of the Salem Police Department on Sunday, standing up from the bench, yelling at him, drawing back her fist as if to strike him, needing to be physically restrained while she spit on Green and attempted to kick him. A pretrial was also set for Phillips, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly refusing to speak with police who were questioning why she was intoxicated and sitting on the railroad tracks Sunday.

An Oct. 31 preliminary hearing was set for Justin D. Temple, 29, Jefferson Street, Salineville, charged with illegal conveyance of any drug of abuse on the grounds of a detention facility. Bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety. Temple allegedly took heroin while in the county jail.

An Oct. 31 pretrial was set for Michael S. Heverly, 31, South Union Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing Reagan Duck up a set of stairs and causing her to fall into the screen door on Oct. 21.

A Nov. 3 pretrial was set for Brittany C. Everett, 30, Homewood Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly shoving Ryan Everett to the ground and hitting his head off the floor on Sunday.

A Nov. 3 pretrial was set for Andrew D. Conner, 27, Alliance, and a Nov. 28 pretrial was set for Michael J. Jarrett II, 30, Homewood Avenue, Salem. Each man is cited with assault, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct for allegedly engaging in a fight outside the Power House Cafe, running from police and yelling and screaming while intoxicated on Sunday.

A Nov. 29 pretrial was set for Seth S. Robinson, 30, state Route 45, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a candy bar from Smith Oil in Lisbon on Aug. 31.

A Nov. 29 pretrial was set for Kevin A. Gregory, 26, Pancake Clarkson Road, Negley, cited with possession of drugs and possession of instruments to ingest/inhale a controlled substance.

A Dec. 1 pretrial was set for Cody W. Farnsworth, 29, Carrollton, cited with driving under FRA suspension and failure to display a valid sticker.

A Dec. 22 pretrial was set for Courtney A. Riley, 22, Columbus, cited with driving under FRA suspension and speeding.

Jakob D. Bell Sr., 26, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, pleaded no contest to driving under suspension, failure to display a valid sticker, possession of instruments to ingest/inhale controlled substances and unsafe vehicle. A sentencing hearing was set for Dec. 20.

Robert Porada, 41, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, was fined $305 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension, a seat belt violation and speeding.

Dean R. Bolster, 36, Austinburg, Ohio, was fined $250, sentenced to one day in jail and required 30 hours community service for theft for taking 5 Hour Energy Drinks from the BP in Lisbon on Sept. 14.

Trudy A. Douglas, 54, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $250, credited with a day served in jail, sentenced to an additional seven days and required 30 hours community service for theft for shoplifting $87 in merchandise from the Salem Walmart on Sunday.

Amy Jaskolski, 33, Ambridge, Pa., was fined $250 for driving under suspension.

Amber L. Adkins,  34, 18th Street, Wellsville, was fined $150, required 25 hours community service, credited with two days served in jail and sentenced to an additional two days for assault for taking a swing at Paul Metrovich, striking him in the head on June 30.

Jaylene D. Nelson, 21, Prospect Street, Salem, was fined $105 for expired license and child restraint.

Barbara Hostetter, 50, East Park Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $100 for sales to underaged person for selling tobacco to someone under 21 at Gorby’s in Negley.

Shelby M. Paparodis, 20, Lake Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for speeding, a booster seat and a child restraint violation.
