SHERIFF’S OFFICE
— Lori Peck reported at 12:45 p.m. Friday her mother, Paula Smith, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, received a phone call from a man with a foreign accent talking about a lawsuit involving Xaralto. Peck got onto the phone and began to explain her mother has never been prescribed Xaralto and the man called her a liar. She asked for the number to be placed on his do not call list and the man began using foul language. She hung up on him, but he called back four more times.
— Jeffrey Pridemore, Idaho Avenue, East Liverpool, reported at 1:31 a.m. Saturday there was a fight on Clewell Drive in Hanover Township. Deputies spoke to several children and learned the fight was between one of them and a man, who had left before deputies arrived. The boy was taken to the sheriff’s office and released to his mother.
— Deputies and a neighbor went into a Westville Lake Road, Beloit, home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday where a man reportedly had taken pills and had grabbed a knife when EMS arrived. They attempted to talk to the man who had no knives in his hand at the time. However, he became agitated, yelled, threw his phone to the floor and he was tased. He was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. The knives, which had been sitting beside where he was standing, were removed from the home.
