SALEM

— An officer responded to a 2300 block East State Street business at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday where the gas tanks of three company trucks had been punctured and the gasoline was leaking onto the pavement. The fire department responded to clean up the gasoline.

— An officer responded to an 800 block East State Street home at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday where the resident reported someone had entered her vehicle and ransacked it, although nothing was missing.

— A motorist reported at 4:54 p.m. Wednesday an unknown female motorist has been taking photos of the complainant’s vehicle and then followed her to another location and continued to take photos. The motorist said the other driver then got out her vehicle and approached the complainant’s, continuing to take photos, then yelled at her something about being someone her friend knows and to grow up.

— An officer responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 6:39 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a disorderly customer and found that there had been a verbal argument in which the person had already left.

— Police responded with medical personnel to a Jefferson Avenue home at 6:51 p.m. in reference to an attempted suicide.

— An officer responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday where a woman reported she had left her wallet and found it missing when she returned to get it.

— Officers responded to the area of Barclay and Morris avenues at 8:49 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a woman yelling for help. They searched the area and spoke with a resident who said no one had yelled for help from her home. No other suspicious persons were found.

— An officer responded to a 600 block Franklin Avenue home at 8:51 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a fight among family members, but found it to be a verbal dispute after which one of the individuals involved had left for a walk. The individual was found and said he was okay.

— A man reported on station at 12:21 a.m. Thursday drug activity at a 400 block South Lincoln Avenue home where his two-year-old child was staying. Officers spoke with three individuals at the home, but could find no sign of drug activity, and the child was sleeping on a couch. The information was forwarded to the Columbiana County Drug Task Force and Children Services.

— Police checked the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue and surrounding area at 1:45 a.m. Thursday after a report of of suspicious person who allegedly approached a woman in a threatening manner. They were unable to find anyone.

— An officer responded to the area of West State Street and Georgetown Road at 7:53 a.m. Thursday for a report of a vehicle dragging something along the road causing sparks, but could find nothing matching the description.

— Officers responded to a report of a syringe found in the 200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:47 a.m. Thursday. They found a spoon in addition to the syringe, and the complainant already gone.

— A 300 block North Broadway Avenue resident reported at 1:16 p.m. Thursday that her vehicle was missing from the apartment complex’s parking lot. She said she believed it have been stolen within the past several days and that she had not driven it in two months.

— Police responded to the Salem hospital emergency room at 3:23 p.m. Thursday where a man had been admitted for a possible drug overdose and had become belligerent, threatening assault on hospital staff members. An officer stood by until the man calmed down.

LISBON

— Laura L. Poynter, Wellsville Avenue, Lisbon, was northbound on North Market Street at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday and swerved to miss a vehicle that pulled out in front of her and then struck a stop sign. No citations were issued.
