SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A disorderly man was reported at a home which was on fire on Bayard Road at 10:17 p.m. Sunday. The West Township fire chief told deputies the resident, Mark Morgan, kept trying to go into his home while they were working to put out the fire. Deputies explained to Morgan he is not allowed inside until the fire chief cleared the scene. The fire chief told deputies firefighters found a marijuana plant and some dried marijuana in a closet. Morgan admitted the marijuana was for his use. The plant was seized and turned over to the county drug task force.

— Eric Clevenger, New Springfield, reported at 7:56 p.m. Sunday he was traveling on Union Ridge Road when a vehicle allegedly driven by Roy Moffett tried to run him off the road.

— Charles Mills, a supervisor with Ohio Edison, reported at 8:23 p.m. Saturday that employee John Taylor found someone had broken into the substation on U.S. Route 30, known as the Guilford substation. About 80 feet of copper wire and some tools were taken. A company truck parked there was also broken into.

— Kitty Morrow, state Route 45, Salem, reported at 12:13 p.m. Thursday her 2010 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ was parked in her driveway and she found someone had smashed the front hood and windshield. It appeared someone had backed into her driveway, striking her vehicle and causing the damage.

— Mary Matheny, Carmel-Achor Road, Rogers, reported at 10:37 p.m. Thursday someone broke a window on the west side of her home, went inside and removed the televisions.
