SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A suspicious vehicle was reported at Rollerena Auto Sales, East Palestine, at 3:32 a.m. Thursday. Someone had called East Palestine police to say they saw lights on in one of the trucks in the lot. Deputies found the amber overhead lights on a dump truck were lit. The side door was not secure and deputies were able to shut the lights off. No one was found.

— Harold Court, East Ohio Avenue, Sebring, asked deputies to check on someone at a home Meadowwood Drive in Butler Township at 7:33 p.m. Wednesday. No one was home.

— Carla McCartney, Lake Point Drive, Beloit, reported vandalism at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies found the camper’s door off its hinges and the window broken out. It appeared someone had been inside, but it was not known if anything was missing.

— Homeworth Fire Chief Brian Baker reported a missing person’s flyer — with an address written on it — was found in the door of the fire station at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies checked the address but the woman was not there.

— Lois Bergman, Brown Street, Lisbon, reported at 9:18 a.m. Tuesday there are several horses on a 10th Street Extension property in Yellow Creek Township not being taken cared for properly. One of the larger horses was reportedly in a paddock by himself with nothing to eat but his own feces. Deputies knocked on the door of the house, but no one answered. There were water and food tubs set out in the pasture area for the livestock and the animals appeared to be of normal size and weight.

— Suspicious activity was reported in the area of the bike trail off Cherry Valley Road at 10:30 p.m. Friday. Deputies checked the area, but found nothing out of the ordinary.
