POLICE REPORTS

LEETONIA

–Breann Little, 30, Columbiana, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at Washington Street and the K-12 campus at 10:09 p.m. June 20.

–Matthew Crowl, 38, Lisbon, and Sarah Drye, 27, Leetonia, were arrested on active warrants out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop at Lisbon and Somer streets at 8:16 p.m. June 21 in which they were passengers. Drye was also cited for possession of drug abuse instruments.

–Steven L. Nelder, 28, no address listed, was arrested on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Columbia Street at 6:20 p.m. June 22 in which he was a passenger. A Salem K-9 officer detected an odor of narcotics and the recovered contraband was sent for testing.

–Taylor West, Columbiana, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop for expired plates at Washington and Main streets at 9:20 p.m. June 22.

–An officer investigated a report of unauthorized use of a debit card at a 400 block Sleepy Hollow Drive home at 5:31 p.m. June 23.

–Officers responded to threats at a 100 block Pine Street home at 7:09 p.m. July 6.

–Wesley P. Lipcomb, 31, Leetonia, was arrested on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office and cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at Old Route 344 and the water plant at 8:30 p.m. July 8.

–Brandon A. Heard, 25, Austintown, was cited for driving under suspension and loud exhaust following a traffic stop at Washington and Main streets at 11:21 p.m. July 9.

–Officers responded to the water plant at 2:10 p.m. Saturday in reference to a burglar alarm and found a pried door but no signs of entry. They searched the interior and exterior but found nothing unusual.

–An officer assisted Washingtonville police on a domestic dispute in the 300 block of East Main Street, Washingtonville, at 3:55 p.m. Sunday and stood by until the man involved agreed to leave. agreed to leave.

COLUMBIANA

— A man reported at 1 p.m. Wednesday he hit a pot hole while driving at a local business on state Route 14.

— Police checked on a person sleeping in their car on West County Line Road at 12:44 a.m. Wednesday. No problems were reported.

— Someone reported anonymously at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday multiple beer bottles were smashed throughout the Col-Pump parking lot.

— Bruce Riehl reported at 2:53 p.m. Wednesday he was concerned the for the well-being of multiple animals within a rental property on South Main Street. Police checked and found the animals were taken care of.

— A man reported at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday his iPhone was stolen while he was visiting the city pool. An investigation is pending.

— A woman reported at 4 p.m. Wednesday her phone was stolen while visiting the city pool.

— A person reported anonymously at 7 p.m. Wednesday they noticed their phone missing after visiting the city pool.

— Jeannie M. Beal, 43, Whitsett, N.C., was westbound on Herbster Street at 8 a.m. Wednesday and failed to stop at the posted sign at Elm Street and struck John J. Knight, 74, state Route 46, New Waterford, who was southbound on Elm Street. Beal was cited for stop sign.

— Anthony D. Tatgenhorst, 37, Court Street, Columbiana, was southbound on North Main Street at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday and turning east onto Parkview Drive and a group of kids were riding skateboard in the middle of Parkview Drive prompting Tatgenhorst to hug the right side of the road to avoid hitting them and one of the boys tripped on his skateboard, which went forward into Tatgenhorst’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

— Michael Ritterspach, 68, South Elm Street, Columbiana, was stopped at the state Route 14 and East Park Avenue stop sign and then turned left onto state Route 14, at which point he lost control of the vehicle and went over the embankment, across a driveway and into a shed and then up an embankment and back onto state Route 13. He was cited for failure to control.

— Timothy S. Kinser, 35, Frostburg, Md., was in a garbage truck parked on Pueblo Lane attempting to empty the bin and struck a light post. He was cited for assured clear distance.
