HIGHWAY PATROL

— Dolores I. Witherow, 65, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, was eastbound on state Route 558 in Fairfield Township at 7:40 a.m. Thursday and struck a school bus driven by Alice L. Haldiman, 61, Bye Road, East Palestine, who was also eastbound. Witherow was taken to the St. Elizabeth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No citations were issued.

— Wade A. Schneider, 41, French Street, East Palestine, and Brandon Jeffrey Nulf, 24, West Clark Street, East Palestine, were westbound on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 11 a.m. Sept. 2 and Nulf struck Schneider. Nulf was cited for assured clear distance.

— Timothy R. Groger Jr., 42, state Route 172, East Rochester, was eastbound on Georgetown Road in Butler Township at 6:10 a.m. Sept. 2 and struck a cow.

— Gary R. Vulcan, 72, Adams Road, Lisbon, and Gregory R. Wright, 64, Berry Road, Kensington, were eastbound on U.S. 30 in Lisbon at 1:45 p.m. Sept. 1 and stopped for a red light when Vulcan pulled forward and struck Wright. Vulcan was cited for improper starting.

— Robert David Walters, 19, Old state Route 344, Leetonia, was westbound on Schneider Road in Hanover Township at 6:15 a.m. Aug. 31 and reportedly swerved to avoid a deer and went off the right side into a ditch and several fence posts. He was cited for failure to control.
