Salem woman pleads guilty to drug counts
LISBON — A Salem woman pleaded guilty to three drugs charges last week in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
Marie L. Whitman, 45, of North Ellsworth Avenue, pleaded guilty as charged to one count of illegal possession of chemicals used to manufacture drugs (meth), one count of possessing meth and one count of possessing cocaine. The offenses occurred on Aug. 18, 2016.
A charge of manufacturing meth was dismissed as part of a plea deal reached with the county prosecutor’s office. Whitman will be sentenced on May 3.
