EL man pleads guilty to trafficking

LISBON — An Operation Big Oak trafficker was among those who pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court. Donald J. Crumbley Jr., 34, Riverview Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated trafficking in cocaine.

The charges, which were apart of the Operation Big Oak indictment were for selling less than five grams of cocaine on May 23, 2017 and 2.72 grams, which is less than the bulk amount of carfentanyl, on the same date. Sentencing is set for July 16. He is facing up to two and a half years in prison and a fine of $7,500.

In an unrelated case, Crumbley also pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property and illegal processing of a drug document. He faces up to two years in prison and a $6,000. Sentencing is set for July 16. On Sept. 4, 2015, Crumbley had a prescription form belonging to Dr. Hira Rohela and forged himself a percocet prescription, which he tried to use at Hershe-Bloor Pharmacy in East Liverpool.

Frank A. Carelli, 59, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, pleaded guilty to OVI. He faces up to 30 months in prison, a fine of $10,500, a lifetime license suspension, a vehicle forfeiture and mandatory alcohol or drug treatment. Sentencing is set for July 16.
