Salem Fire Department
— Firefighters were called at 11:08 a.m. Saturday to the Salem Plaza, 2348 E. State St., for an odor of smoke inside a building. Employees said the odor of burnt plastic had started to go away. The area and the attic were checked with the thermal imaging camera, but nothing was located. No smoke was visible. Neighboring businesses were also checked.
