Youngstown man pleads guilty in June Home Savings robbery
LISBON — Involved in the robbery of a Home Savings and Loan in June, Joseph Derrico, 28, Youngstown, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to robbery, a second-degree felony. Derrico is facing up to eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine. Sentencing is set for June 25.
Mariah P. McClellan pleaded guilty to charges in two cases. McClellan pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence and possession of drugs. During the execution of a search warrant, McClellan tried to conceal white powder and was found with 48.71 grams of cocaine under a pillow and $1,829 in her purse on April 7, 2017. For those charges she is facing up to 14 years in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $30,000 fine. Additionally, McClellan is facing up to a year in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $2,500 fine for a possession of drugs charge for .78 grams of cocaine in the second case. Sentencing is set for June 1.
No bill of indictment was issued by the most recent grand jury for James W. Strait, 37, Lincoln Avenue, Salem, who had been accused of complicity.
