Credit card skimmer warning issued
SEBRING– The Sebring Police Department is warning residents about the possible use of credit card skimmers in the village.
News partner WKBN-TV 27 reported police have received several reports of credit card skimmers at local establishments but did not name them. According to a news release from the police department, the businesses have been notified about the possible scam.
Police said customers should make sure the security sticker on any gas pump they use has not been tampered with or says VOID. Also, make sure on the credit card reader that there is not an external reader affixed to the gas pump reader.
