SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— Shay Yenges called the sheriff’s office Friday to advise that her grandmother, Joyce Vecchio, 82, state Route 164, Center Township, has a protection order against Robert Vecchio and he was at her grandmother’s residence at that time. Mrs. Vecchio was not home at the time, she advised. Sheriff Ray Stone and deputies arrived at the home to find Mr. Vecchio on the sofa inside and reported he told them he had gone to the Frola Motel the previous night but they had no rooms so he returned to his house. He was arrested for violating a protection order and taken to the county jail.

— Deputies responded Friday to the Rogers Community Auction, state Route 154, Rogers, for reports of a possible assault. They spoke with all parties involved and found no assault occurred, that there was an argument over who owned an article being sold for $23. They were advised it was a civil matter.

— Susan Henderson, Ridge Road, Butler Township, reported a boy has been riding his dirt bike recklessly on the roads at Lake Sevakeen and on county roads as well. Deputies advised Henderson there is nothing the sheriff’s office can do about the boy driving on the private roadway but can attempt to see him driving on the public roads.
