GOSHEN POLICE DISTRICT

— Brian Louis Kelly Jr., 20, Struthers, was charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, as well as cited for driving under suspension and speed following a traffic stop on Western Reserve Road at Covington Cove at 6:15 a.m. Friday in which he was driving his mother’s vehicle without permission. Both he and his mother said he stole the vehicle.

— An officer responded to an 11000 block West South Range Road property at 7 p.m. Saturday to assist Damascus first responders with an ATV crash and found that an 18-year-old female had fallen off a kayak being pulled by the ATV. The 19-year-old driver admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the crash, but she did not show any signs of impairment. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s in Youngstown with a head injury.

LEETONIA

— An officer responded to a 400 block Columbia Street home Sunday night in reference to a domestic dispute in which a woman reported relationship issues with her boyfriend. They both denied anything physical occurred and agreed to separate for the night.

— An officer responded to a 1400 block Beeson Mill Road home at 10 p.m. Sunday where the residents reported seeing people outside and hearing someone enter the unlocked mud room. They said when they checked outside they saw two people at the rear and to the west of the house at the tree line and that they ran when observed, one toward Cherry Fork Road and the other to a vehicle at a neighboring driveway. The vehicle fled south on Beeson Mill Road. The night patrol was advised to watch the area.

— A Walnut Street teen reported at 4:05 a.m. Monday that a male individual who is not supposed to be around her was seen by a friend walking toward her home. An officer provided extra patrol in the area.

— Police responded to a 100 block Pine Street home at 7:35 a.m. Monday in reference to a possible death due to drugs. Officers found the 33-year-old male victim in a downstairs room with no pulse. Upon moving the body, officers and medical personnel discovered in his lap an uncapped syringe loaded with a liquid, a very large rubber band and an open bottle of water with some residue inside.
