SALEM REPORTS

— Police responded to the Mullins Street railroad crossing at 12:05 p.m. Saturday where two bikes were located around the tracks. They were placed with other lost bikes behind the police station.

— Police responded to N. Union Avenue at 7:09 a.m. Saturday to assist Perry Township police in locating a dog at large. It was located in Perry Township.

— At 7:51 a.m. Saturday, police responded to an area on E. State Street regarding an abandoned cat. They were unable to locate it.

— Police responded to E. 11th Street and Highland Avenue at 10:40 a.m. Saturday regarding a solicitor whose paperwork was in order.

— At 4:16 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 2800 block of E. State Street where a customer advised several disorderly individuals were using profanity and causing a disturbance. Police obtained identifications of two people and advised them of the complaint and not leaving could result in trespassing charges and they left.

— Police responded to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 3:04 p.m. Saturday regarding a bike that was stolen the day before.

— Police responded to the N. Lincoln Avenue and E. 4th Street at 12:38 a.m. Saturday where EMTs had advised a female was on the ground in pain, refusing treatment. She was located running down the sidewalk. She advised of pain from surgery and didn’t want any treatment.

— Police responded to the 12000 block of Southeast Boulevard on Friday at 11:42 p.m. where a mother said she speaks daily with her daughter but had been unable to contact her. She had the key to her apartment and police checked and she was not located.

— At 10:10 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 300 block of S. Lincoln Avenue for a possible domestic violence and child custody issue. There was a confrontation between the complainant and suspect. Information was gathered and a welfare check was made. The suspect was advised to come to the police station and make a voluntary statement. Due to the lack of evidence, no arrest was made. An investigation is pending.

— At 9:43 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 900 block of S. Lundy Avenue where police attempted to locate a man with a warrant from the Columbiana County sheriff. A female inside said she didn’t live there and wouldn’t let police check. She was unsure if he was present and checked and advised he wasn’t there.

— Police responded to the 300 block of S. Broadway Avenue at 8:52 p.m. Friday where the complainant said a male and female were walking southbound and began yelling obscenities toward her and her friends, threatening to harm them. Police were unable to locate the people.

— At 7:31 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 400 block of W. Wilson Street for a report of two young females in a gray sedan driving recklessly in the area yelling at juveniles who were walking. Police checked the area but were unable to locate them.

— Police responded to the 1900 block of E. State Street at 5:58 p.m. Friday where the complainant advised a person outside the hospital was causing damage to a vehicle. The person was calmed down and advised she was upset because the hospital refused to treat her. Due to her mental state arrangements were made for her to receive treatment at another facility.

— Police responded to the 500 block of W. Wilson Street at 3:15 p.m. Friday where the complainant advised a bike was stolen from the yard the night before.

— Police responded to the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 9:38 p.m. Friday, where the complainant was approached by a male subject needing money and said he could get them drugs and did mention something about a gun. The complainant wanted it documented.

SALEM TOWNSHIP REPORT

— Constable Dan Valentine received a report at 9:45 a.m. Friday from a resident in the 34000 block of Gromley Road advising that sometime overnight, someone stole her mailbox from the post. A check of the area was made and it was not located.
