SALEM FIRE CALLS

— Firefighters were called at 3:45 p.m. Thursday to the 1400 block of Quaker Circle for a report that wires low and pulled by a truck on Monday were laying on the ground. The wires were determined to be a hazard to traffic, with a barricade placed in the hazard area.

— Firefighters responded to the 900 block of South Union Avenue at 9:45 a.m. Thursday for a request for assistance with a large tree limb broken and hanging over an adjacent property’s house. The owner and members of the tree removal company were on scene. A smaller limb had already fallen on the garage. The area was taped off and a plan was being determined to remove the hazard. Fire personnel remained on the scene until 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
