SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— Deputies responded to a Middle Street, Knox Township address at 10:21 p.m. Monday after a man reportedly was making suicidal threats when his girlfriend took their child and left. Deputies could hear the man shouting on the phone when they arrived, “If he isn’t back by tonight, I’m going to blow my brains out.” Deputies spoke to the man, calmed him down and he agreed to go to the hospital to be evaluated.

— Nicole Pawley, state Route 558, Salem Township, reported at 8:29 p.m. Monday, someone, possibly a neighbor, trespassed on her property, reached through a window and turned off the water to her property. Her grass was also cut. The source of her water is actually at the neighbor’s house and when she contacted her landlord they informed her the water supply had been turned off and she needed to check her water sources because the water was being drained. Pawley additionally claimed someone broke open the garage door and entered the house. She did not believe it was her landlord when deputies questioned her.

— Someone in the West Point area reported at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday there was a red Durango turning into driveways along state Route 45. Deputies found the vehicle on Y and O Road and it had an emblem on the back window stating “Local Authorized Kirby Salesman.” This same vehicle has been driving around the county selling sweepers door-to-door for quite some time.

— A malnourished horse was reported in the area of 10th Street Extension at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies checked the area, but did not find the animal.

— Donald Duncan, Haiti Road, Washington Township, reported at 4:26 p.m. Tuesday he believed he has been the victim of a scam. He applied online for a loan from Advance America, but as the process became suspicious he canceled the loan process but not before giving out his banking information. He then removed the money from his bank account to make certain no one stole it and notified his bank.
