To correct initial information provided to the Salem News by the Perry Township Police Department and then corrected two days later, police responded to the 1100 block of East Pidgeon Road for three separate accidents Monday morning. One report said that Heaven Hart, 18, of Salem, who was traveling east on East Pidgeon Road, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after failing to see a vehicle driven by Lindsay Kordic, 38, of Niles, was stopped and struck the Kordic vehicle. Before Hart came along, Kordic was stopped after being involved in a minor accident with Laurie Zook, 25, of Hanoverton, when Kordic struck the rear of the Zook vehicle which was stopped in traffic. Police Chief Mike Emigh said Kordic was found at fault for the minor accident but was not cited. While all three vehicles were stopped there on East Pidgeon Road, a fourth eastbound vehicle operated by Michelle Hall, 29, of Sebring, failed to see them and struck the rear of the Hart vehicle. Hall was cited for assured clear distance ahead. Kordic, Hart and Hall were all transported to Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
