— Someone who has been in the federal prison at Elkton since July 27, 2013 and remains there learned someone stole his identity and opened an account in his name with the NW Natural Gas Co. There is an outstanding bill for $212.
— GEO staff at the county jail reported at 10:19 a.m. Sunday Jerrell Jeter was injured in a fight and needed to be transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center for treatment. Jeter was later sent to St. Elizabeth’s in Youngstown due to the extent of his injuries. The incident happened on Oct. 24.
— A man reported at 5:21 p.m. Monday his vehicle was being repaired by a local shop during the past two years. Deputies spoke to the local shop on state Route 45 in Salem Township and found the man still owes money for the work currently being done. Deputies told the vehicle owner it was civil issue and he needs to seek an attorney or work something out with the shop.
— Carol Hough, Church Hill Road, Elkrun Township, reported at 3:08 p.m. Sunday someone stole their wood splitter out of their yard sometime overnight.
— Pipeline workers in the area of Bolivar Road, Washington Township, reported at 4:48 p.m. Monday they saw an assault occur at a nearby home. Deputies found Mark Handley, 60, at the home along with his wife, Mary Handley. After investigating the matter, Mark Handley was charged with domestic violence.
— Bob Geho, Mattix Road, Lisbon, reported a suspicious vehicle at 5:30 a.m. Monday. The area was checked and nothing was found.
— A security alarm sounded at BS Carryout, state Route 39, Salineville. The building was checked but appeared to be secure.
