Big Oak defendant pleads guilty to trafficking charges
LISBON — One of the Operation Big Oak defendants Gloria Flaherty, 44, Birch Road, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to aggravated trafficking in drugs and two counts of trafficking in heroin. In October 2016 and in December 2016, she was involved in selling heroin, with the second time involving the sale of heroin mixed with fentanyl. She is facing up to three years in prison and a $7,500 fine. Sentencing is set for March 25.
Wendy L. Ludington, 49, Riverview Street, East Liverpool, was placed on four years community control for three counts of non-support of dependents.
Eugene C. Striffler, 27, South Egypt Road, Salem, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction. He pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs and was placed on a four-year intervention treatment plan. Striffler had six individually packaged baggie of methamphetamines on his person while he had two sets of digital scales and baggies as well on Sept. 7, 2017.
